Ms. Lucy Pascasio...
Luzviminda (Lucy) S. Pascasio is in her first year as Assistant Band Director for Argyle ISD but in her seventh year of teaching. Her responsibilities include beginner saxophone and clarinet classes, the middle school White Band, Color Guard, and assisting the middle school Red Band and high school bands. Prior to Argyle, Ms. Pascasio taught three years at Lindale High School. Her responsibilities included the High School Concert Band, one of the two 7th grade bands, and a 6th grade clarinet class. Under her direction, Ms. Pascasio’s bands have received superior ratings at UIL. Her high school clarinet studios have included several top ranking students at the ATSSB and TMEA All-Region, Area, and State levels. During her time at Lindale High School, she was extremely fortunate to be involved in their TMEA 3A State Honor Band journey and performance in 2006-2007. She spent her first three years as Assistant Director of Bands for Crosby Middle School and High School and Head 6th Grade Director at Drew Intermediate in Crosby.
Ms. Pascasio has been surrounded by many dedicated and influential directors growing up in Birdville ISD where she graduated from Haltom High School in 1996. Those great directors include Mr. Greg Hull, Mr. David Bertman, Ms. Cindy Lansford, Mr. Jerry Hull, Mr. Henry Schraub, and Mr. Larry Howell. Under the direction of Mr. Greg Hull, she was privileged to perform with the Symphonic Winds at the 1993 Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. Ms. Pascasio is a 2001 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where she received a Bachelor of Music Education and studied with inspirational professors such as Mr. Fred J. Allen, Mr. Brian A. Britt, Dr. Raphael Sanders, and Dr. Stacy Thompson. During her time at SFASU, she had the honor of performing with the Wind Ensemble at the 2000 TMEA Convention.
