Michael Lemish...

Michael Lemish is in his seventh year at Argyle ISD, in Argyle, TX. His responsibilities include teaching high school, middle school and beginning percussion students’ along with a high school music theory class. Mr. Lemish graduated from Central Noble High School in Albion, Indiana. In the fall of 1997 he moved to Denton, TX where he began his collegiate career at the University of North Texas. While at UNT he performed in the UNT Drumline, the basketball band and was part of various percussion ensembles. In the spring of 2002 he completed his student teaching at Argyle and upon graduating joined the staff of Argyle High School.

In addition to his teaching, Mr. Lemish has organized and run middle school and high school percussion clinics in Texas and Indiana. He has been responsible for writing percussion music for the Argyle Marching Band shows and is the resident marching expert. Under his direction, the Argyle Drumline earned a first place award at the Plano Drumline competition in 2005 and 2007 and in 2006 they placed second. Mr. Lemish has played a key role in the numerous awards that the Argyle High School Bands have been awarded including the 2005 Class 2A Texas State Honor Band, 2003 and 2005 Class 2A State Marching Band Champions and 2006 3A State Marching Band Finalist.

Mr. Lemish resides in Denton with his wife Erin, daughter Morgan and son Cooper.
